Seals > Bonded Rubber Seals

A rubber bonded seal is a steel washer with rubber molded to the ID or the OD. Bonded rubber seals are used to seal a bolt that is treaded into a lubricated cavity to prevent the escape of fluid through the threaded connection.

Bonded Rubber Seals - Available Styles Table

  • Standard (BRS) – Seals against the bolt head flange
  • Self-centering (BRST) – Seals against the threads and the bolt head flange
  • Piloted (BRSP) – Stronger bond between the washer and the rubber sealing element
  • Rubber OD (XBRS) – Rubber is bonded to the OD of the washer instead of the ID
  • Washers available in Zinc plated steel or stainless steel
  • Rubber available in NBR, FKM, HNBR, and EPDM
  • Custom Bonded Rubber seals can be developed in production quantities
